The role is a nine-month full time contract with a possibility of the role becoming full-time permanent at the end of the nine month contract. You could conduct the role from Melbourne or Sydney.

The Data Team enjoys a significant amount of varied projects where you will be set up for success with access to a suite of tools at your disposal. The Data Business Analyst role is perfectly suited for someone who is ready to show what they can do and make positive impact to the business. Whilst the core role is business analysis for analytics, insights and data modelling, success will come from someone who has strong business acumen and is ready to tackle data projects from end-to-end/ You will enjoy forging relationships with stakeholders and guiding the business through data driven decision making.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with business, project and data stakeholders to shape and estimate demand and business requirements for data and analytics projects

Own and deliver small data projects that align with the data teams and MMS objectives and values

Collaborate with stakeholders and act as the key point of contact for on-going deliverables for business segments

Support the uplift of data utility while working closely with 3rd party vendors and data engineering teams to introduce new software and data solutions

Provide thought leadership on marketing strategies within MMS business segments

Support and drive internal data team solutions to develop better ways of working through knowledge sharing and documentation

Drive internal data team process optimisation to develop efficient way of working

Work to support the development of the data team through knowledge sharing and documentation

Deliver comprehensive results to stakeholders through presentations and information sessions, ensuring consistency of quality, and value to the business

Bring forward a deep understanding of sales and marketing insights and customer behaviours to deliver comprehensive results to stakeholders

Continue to strive for personal development in the field of data analytics through internal and external education sessions

You will bring:

Strong experience in Analytics

Strong experience in Business Requirements analysis

Fluency in SQL

Experience in delivering practical analysis in a business environment

Demonstrated ability to deliver end to end analytical projects

Strong knowledge of customer focused analytics

Can work both independently and as part of a team to achieve results

A disciplined approach to problem solving and an ability to critically assess a range of information to differentiate true business needs as opposed to user requests

Tertiary qualifications in analytics is desirable but not essential
