JOB SUMMARY: This position is based in Seattle, WA and provides architectural support to the Project Team for activities associated with Sabey’s development projects. As a summer intern, you’ll be exposed to a variety of project types. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging your architectural training to better understand the business of Architecture.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
AutoCad/Revit Drafting and rendering with various software-may include working on; permits sets, pricing packages for Sabey Construction, test fits, lease exhibits, renderings of interior and exterior projects/
Provide general support to the architecture team. Printing and retrieving drawings or other reference documents-to support Construction, Leasing, Property Management and Marketing
Miscellaneous administrative support for the Architectural department
Site visits: may include tenant improvement, new ground-up construction.
Attend meetings and engage with various stakeholders: Sabey Construction, Leasing, Marketing and Communications, Site Development team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time .
Interface with technology and operate a computer.
Ability to interact with all levels of Sabey employees and business partners – must be able to build and maintain strong professional relationships
Ability to travel on short-term trips if desired.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Seeking Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
Beginning working knowledge in Revit software for creating and editing architectural
Strong ability to create compelling renderings and visualizations to communicate design.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
A passion for architecture and design, demonstrated through a portfolio of relevant projects.
Enthusiastic Learner
MINIMUM COMPETENCIES:
Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
Must demonstrate strong teamwork skills.
Working knowledge of the English language – ability to demonstrate written and oral comprehension and expression.
Developing working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup
Location and Travel: This position is an in-office position, located in our Seattle, WA home office, 3-4 days per week. There may be out of the office site visit and occasional regional travel requiring a car for transportation.
Salary hiring range: $37,090 - $51,926
