Position Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversees day-to-day Pharmacy operations at the North Campus to ensure the pharmacy operates efficiently and effectively.

Monitors pending releases, out-of-stock (OOS) inventory, and partial order sheets, ensuring that pharmacist communication is maintained, and orders are processed timely and accurately.

Examines delays in the dispensing process and resolves the issues in a timely manner.

Creates and manages the weekly work schedule for pharmacy staff and processes requests for Paid Time Off (PTO) and schedule adjustments, ensuring adequate coverage.

Monitors and tracks Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of pharmacy operations.

Creates and manages the phone schedule for the VIP line, ensuring VIP providers’ inquiries and requests are handled promptly and professionally.

Collaborates with the IT department to address and resolve any technical issues related to the dispensing process and other pharmacy systems.

Acts as a Dispensing point of contact and address interdepartmental questions and concerns, fostering effective communication and collaboration.

Fosters a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging creativity and continuous improvement within the team.

Provides mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, supporting their growth and success within the organization.

Evaluates employee performance, provides feedback and coaching as needed. Prepares performance evaluations for employees.

Addresses and resolves any patient pick-up issues and handles escalated patient concerns, maintaining a high level of customer service and patient satisfaction.

Provides guidance and answers to legal and regulatory questions to ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations.

Provides input on and implements strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Ensures that the pharmacy complies with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.

Promotes a collaborative work environment and positive company culture.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

Thorough knowledge of Texas Pharmacy laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BPharm) required.

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree preferred.

2-5 years minimum of previous pharmacists experience.

1-3 years in a leadership role within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
