2nd Shift, QC Technician

Summary:

Under limited supervision, the QC Technician administers quality systems activities for specific product lines by supporting and reinforcing good quality produced by Western Window Systems as well as all incoming material from outside vendors.

What You'll Do:

Quality Management System

Support and reinforce the use of the QMS within the production process by encouraging good quality that meets the QMS requirements and customer expectations. Assist in the development and improvement of the QMS.

Health, Safety and Environment

Follow the organization's HS&E policies, procedures and mandatory instructions, to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve these, escalating serious issues as appropriate.

Quality Testing

Carry out a specified range of complex tests; interpret test data to verify that specifications are met and/or to identify remedial actions required to ensure conformance.

Material Disposition

Quarantine and communicate with Production and/or Purchasing regarding the disposition of non-compliant material and assemblies.

Improvement / Innovation

Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.

Operational Compliance

Maintain compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, reporting these and escalating issues as appropriate.

Documentation and Communication

Manage documents related to production inspections, calibration and capability as defined in the QMS. Communicates with production the proper procedures for maintaining good quality standards per the QMS.

Data Collection and Analysis

Collate and analyze data using pre-set tools, methods and formats. Involves working independently. Use data to identify root causes to implement corrective actions of quality issues.

Stakeholder Engagement

Assist with stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings, events, and supporting materials to promote stakeholder understanding and commitment.

Performance Management

Use the performance management systems to improve personal performance.

Who You Are:

A.A. degree preferred

Quality Technician Certification desired
