How you make a difference:

The Management Information Systems Specialist supports the daily operations of the facility’s Information System Department and is responsible for IT technical support calls and the facility’s computer equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responds to and handles technical support requests, acts as site liaison, and keeps staff informed of changes/updates to their computers.

• Troubleshoots computer hardware and software problems, makes repairs within capabilities of the IS Department, and arranges repairs with designated vendor if needed.

• Installs computer hardware and software based on standard or specific/custom criteria, including setting up new computers and transferring computer equipment between users.

• Maintains complete inventory of all IT equipment on campus, installs and troubleshoots A/V equipment, and sets up equipment for conferences.

• Ensures IT equipment and software is compliant with corporate standards and configurations, and alerts supervisor of non-standard software or technology risks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience

Two (2) years of experience in the use of personal computers and information systems.

Licenses/Certifications

Community college or trade school certification in computers or information services preferred.
