POSITION: Insurance Verification Specialist

Summary:

The role of the Insurance Verification Specialist is the accurate and timely verification of patient insurance coverage and hearing aid benefits for multiple Insurance Carriers, IPAs, Medical Groups, and CAP Hospitals. Our team members provide the highest quality service while supporting the mission and clients of RevNu Medical Management.

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Contact various insurance companies, via phone or online to obtain detailed and accurate information of our Patient's eligibility and hearing aid benefits.

Complete insurance verification forms, enter electronic notes and communicate results to the Providers though our electronic Practice Management System.

Work with various administrative Teams to ensure correct and accurate information is received and communicated timely.

Meet or exceed daily Quotas.

Assist in educating and act as a resource to clinics and others.

Determine member benefit coverage and discuss benefits with clinics, team members and administration.

Maintain the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with company policy & procedure, and HIPAA regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Must be persistent and maintain a professional demeanor.

Ability to communicate in a professional manner; both verbally and written.

Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.

Required Education and Experience:

Experience and education requirements may be adjusted where necessary in response to labor market constraints.

A minimum of 2-year insurance and billing experience with understanding and prior experience with insurances i.e. PPO, HMO, Medicare & Medi-Cal.

Skilled in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong customer service orientation.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks within strict deadlines.

The ability to work well under pressure (most of the paperwork is time sensitive).

Detail oriented.

Ability to take direction, work well alone and in a team environment.

A thorough understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology is a plus!

Expected Hours of Work:

This is an in office, Full-time position in Garden Grove, CA. Standard days of work are Monday through Friday and hours of work may vary from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. as needed. This position does not require weekend work.
