Stores Assistant

A vacancy exists for a Stores Assistant in the Pharmacy at Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital.

The successful candidate will report to the Inventory Manager and will contribute to the effective management of stock in Pharmacy as well as the rest of the hospital.

Critical Outputs Ordering and receipting of stock Co-ordinate & manage stock distribution to units through auto transfers.

Co-ordinate cycle counts and stock takes in Pharmacy and in the wards.

Maintain item codes for the wards and Pharmacy Effective utilization of reports to manage stock.

Liaise with pharmacy, wards, theatre and case management on stock.

Management of dead stock in Pharmacy and Theatre.

Co-ordinate write offs for expired and damaged stock for hospital.

Assist with general clerical / admin duties in the Pharmacy Requirements Minimum academic requirement is Matric Stock management experience within a LHC Hospital Surgical Store is essential Be available to work extra hours when needed Excellent interpersonal skills.

Other important competencies are partnership building, customer orientation and willingness to be multi skilled Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
