Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Seal Team Lead (Assembler Level C) (2nd Shift) to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina.

The Team Lead will be responsible for, but are not limited to, performing tasks in the following areas; pre-shift planning, crew meetings, team status updates, labor loss, production control, training, process improvement and Lean/BPS. Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.

Position Responsibilities:

Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.

Builds effective resource plans.

Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader.

Updates and communicates BPS metrics.

Identifies KPI improvement actions.

Assigns daily work.

Leads team in daily safety check-in.

Monitors and reports daily progress to plan.

Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk.

Documents and communicates shift turnover.

Establishes overtime requirements and staffing.

Responsible for monitor and control of 5S.

Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues.

Creates standardized work instructions.

Support teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training.

Responsible for BPS process improvements.

Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Boeing South Carolina (BSC).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

1+ years’ experience with the operations process involving the 787-airplane manufacturing program.

1+ years’ experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing

1+ years of experience in a team environment

Ability to work 2nd shift.

Team Lead Experience

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
