We’re seeking an innovative Principal Software Engineer with a specialization in AI. This position requires a deep understanding of designing and architecting highly scalable SaaS-based applications. In addition, you will utilize your deep understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning skills to build innovative solutions that integrate AI seamlessly into ClearGov's suite of applications. This opportunity is perfect for a highly creative engineer passionate about merging AI breakthroughs with scalable SaaS platforms, driving the creation of impactful and cutting-edge solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake research in AI and machine learning aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency of users interacting with ClearGov’s suite of SaaS applications
Develop testable, scalable, and supportable SaaS-based software solutions that incorporate AI technologies
Provide technical expertise and strategic direction in the field of AI research and development, ensuring that architectural decisions support scalability, efficiency, and market relevance.
Mentor junior engineers within the organization, promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation in SaaS product development
Code and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
Write clear, concise technical documentation
Conduct peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
Actively participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints
Reports directly to the VP of EngineeringCritical Skills/Experience:
8+ years of software development experience building complex, multi-faceted SaaS products
Strong Javascript skills both client side and server side (NodeJS) to foster strong communication between varied project development teams
Deep understanding of AI and machine learning and related technologies
Strong analytical skills, adept at aligning technical projects with business goals
5+ years of working experience with SQL and relational databases
Deep experience in core platforms:
Front-End: AngularJS + Angular 10; Socket.IO; Highcharts; D3; Gulp; LESS
Back-End: Node.js; Express; RabbitMQ; MySQL; Elasticsearch
Environment: AWS; Amazon S3; Git; JIRA; Confluence; Heroku
Proven experience with cloud environments preferably AWS
In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
Superb organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively
