Junior Project Manager

Projects are managed centrally through the Group Business Transformation Team, who pull in resources for project delivery from the Group IT Projects Team. The teams deliver a mixture of projects including IT integrations of acquired businesses, strategic IT projects and various other requests from across the Group.

The team is governed by a Portfolio Management Office (PMO) and made up of Project Delivery personnel. The team deliver a mixture of projects including post-acquisition integrations of new business and strategic group projects.

As a Junior Project Manager, you will work closely with the Transformation Project Team to both autonomously deliver and support others with the execution of a diverse range of projects in accordance with timelines, budgets and quality as set out by the Chief Transformation Officer and Group Exec team.

Key Responsibilities

Working in a fast-paced transformation team to plan, develop, and execute identified workstreams and projects.

Supporting Project Managers with Priority Projects and managing smaller, less complex projects

Support with the coordination of pipelines, sprints and resources across multiple teams and disciplines to ensure progress and delivery is aligned to set timelines.

Ensure that projects meet or exceed the required levels of cost, performance and are delivering against agreed KPIs.

Report and communicate status, delivery and performance of project deliverables against plan.

Implement a robust risk and issue management methodology, escalating via established governance structures to ensure true visibility and prompt mitigation activity where required.

Support and maintain communications between the transformation, delivery and operations teams as well as the wider group stakeholders and third parties.

Support the Delivery team to continuously improve methodology, approach, practice and delivery where required.

Key Skills are Experience Required

Trained (or working towards a Certification) in Project Management, for example Prince2 or PMP.

Demonstrable experience of initiating and/or delivering successful projects or process improvements

Understanding of business process and technology change.

Ability to manage conflicting priorities, multitask and meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Collaborative team player.

Build trusting relationships with all stakeholders.

Work with colleagues across the Group, including international time zones and local culture.

Continuous improvement mindset, naturally inquisitive and eager to learn and develop.

A tenacious approach to problem solving and reaching the desired outcome.
