Schedule: Onsite 5 days/week with 25% commute to other local facilities, mileage will be reimbursed

Job Description
The Network Technician will assist with the proper maintenance of the LAN, Wireless, and WAN voice and data networks. The Network Technician will provide Level 1-2 support and troubleshooting to resolve Network and Telephony issues. The Network Technician will assist with ensuring the day-to-day operation, reliability, and integrity of the enterprise voice communications network including, but not limited to client hardware and software issues related to Network Telephony. This includes installing, maintaining, and managing all data network/telephony equipment such as phones, routers, LAN switches, wireless, servers, backup systems, network management and diagnostic tools, etc. under supervision. The Network Technician will also assist with network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations. The Network Technician will perform basic inventory management processes and create equipment Return Material Authorizations RMAs and track these through to problem resolution.
This Technician will focus on operational work, keeping the network and telephony system up and running, while also supporting project work, new infrastructure rollouts, office space moves, etc.
Responsibilities:
• Designing and installing computer networks, connections and cabling
• Troubleshooting system failures and identifying roadblocks in the network
• Fixing problems in LAN infrastructure and testing and configuring software
• Maintaining and repairing hardware including peripheral devices
• Evaluating network performance to improve the network
• Scheduling upgrades and maintenance without interrupting business workflow
• Providing technical direction and giving training to coworkers about network systems
• Working with vendors to get needed equipment for the networks and systems
Requirements:
Cisco networking equipment
Aruba wireless controllers
Break fix
Build phone systems with CallManager (Cisco tool)
Understand 2-wire and 4-wire analogue connections
Work with Cat 5 & 6 cables
Knowledge of multi and single more fiber
Punchdown connectors
