MACHINE BUILDER
Chicago, IL (near Midway Airport)

Machine Builders are primarily responsible for;
Participation in mechanical, electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics assemblies including precise mechanical subassemblies, electrical panels and cabinets
Gathering information and components required to organize and manage multiple builds.
Inspects and tests completed products to verify functionality
Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, diagrams, work orders, specification manuals, and plans to determine material requirements and assembly instructions
Maintain inventory control as defined by operational procedures
Work with design, engineering and controls teams to assist with startup, debug & validate projects
Critical communication with supervisors, peers and customers
Installation of equipment at customer location, requires travel in US and abroad
Desired Qualifications:
Relevant experience in the industrial automation industry, with relevant education is preferred
Related Vocational, Journeyman or Master Certifications are preferred
This position requires an above average electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to effectively read and interpret machine prints and schematics
A good understanding of problem solving / troubleshooting methodologies and tools
Should be experienced and proficient using tools for the trade (drills, taps, jigsaws, sanders)
Electrical soldering experience
Must be able to manage time effectively
Must be detail-oriented
Should be knowledgeable about electrical, mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic devices used on industrial machinery
Should possess a working knowledge of industry standard practices and techniques for machining and machine building
Must thrive in a team effort to achieve success for the company and our customers
Must possess efficient organizational skills to follow timelines, prioritize, and multitask to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Should have your own hand tools for the trade
Must demonstrate a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety, on-time delivery, and quality of our products
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and follow electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
Strong mechanical and electric assembly abilities
General equipment assembly experience
Able to work in a team environment
Must be a US citizen
