Cash Equities Operations

Job Purpose:

BTIG seeks an Associate to join the Cash Equities Operations team. In this role, the ideal candidate will be supporting a broad range of cash equities business - PT, DMA and the High Touch desk, as well as handling account opening and trade life cycle processing.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Coordinate between Operations, Sales, and Compliance teams to ensure timely and efficient onboarding of new clients

Perform daily activities relating to client account opening, trade booking, reconciliation and ensure all daily activities and controls are completed on a timely manner

Trade allocation and confirmation generation to clients

Monitor and follow up unmatched trades and fail management

Work closely with Finance team for client’s payments

Participate in projects, change initiatives and office administration

Drive the implementation of a front to back model to improve client experience and operational efficiency

Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

3-5 years of experience in securities products, an operations background and client facing experience is preferred

Understanding of the trade life cycle, including onboarding

Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment

Self-motivated approach to work with a high work ethic and superior attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must work collaboratively, explain and challenge as appropriate

Problem solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues
