Registered Nurse Part Time

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our team on Mondays & Wednesdays. We are a busy Ambulatory Surgery Center in Sandy Springs, GA. You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients.

Responsibilities:

Work in the following areas in the surgery center: Pre-op, Intra-op and PACU

Reviews pre-op orders and instructions, explores areas of patient concern, answers question within the nursing scope, and establishes patient rapport

Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior

Maintains patient safety

Maintains sterile technique

Starts IV therapy and administers pre-operation medication, if applicable.

Administer conscious sedation if applicable

Assist in procedure room during procedures

Training to include operation on the C-Arm, sterilization of instruments

Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care

Checks blood pressure, pulse, respiration, color and condition of skin every 10 minutes until stable

Educate patients about procedures and discharge instructions

Maintain accurate patient medical records

Checks the availability of supplies and equipment needed for patients assigned (stock medications, CSR supplies)

Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Qualifications:

Must hold a current Georgia Registered Nurse License

2+ years of nursing experience preferred

BLS required; ACLS preferred (will obtain within 6 months of employment)

Familiarity with medical software and equipment

Ability to build rapport with patients

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Working Hours:

Monday & Wednesday 7:00am - 4:30pm (hours may vary)
