About the role:

As the Facilities Coordinator, you'll assist with day-to-day facilities operations, and assist with special projects as assigned. Responsibilities range from managing conference room logistics to ensuring custodial quality and performing facility maintenance. You'll work primarily with the Safety & Facilities Coordinator and Facilities Engineer, but will be available to assist the Facilities team as a whole, operating under minimal supervision and handling routine tasks independently while receiving limited guidance on new assignments.

What you will do:

Perform general facilities maintenance and service requests.

Manage conference room schedules and setups, coordinating special events internally and externally.

Coordinate facility projects, including laboratory and office setups, equipment maintenance, relocations, and EH&S compliance.

Collaborate with lab aides institute-wide on various tasks.

Coordinate daily custodial services, conduct quality checks, and provide updates to the Facilities Manager.

What you will need:

High school diploma with additional education or training in facilities maintenance, preferably with experience in the biotech industry.

Experience in facilities maintenance or project coordination is desired.

An understanding of facilities maintenance requirements and machinery basics.

Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects under pressure.

Basic proficiency in MS Office.

Skills in performing equipment repairs and maintenance, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Physical Demands of the role:

This role involves various physical activities such as sitting, standing, lifting, bending, and climbing, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Working Environment:

Expect to work in an office environment with exposure to various physical conditions, including animals and hazardous materials.

Hiring Range:

$27.19/hr. - $32/hr.
