ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: MP exists to SHOW PEOPLE WHO JESUS IS. Which means, every person we hire must have a heart to reach lost people and a love for the Church. God is writing an unlikely story here in the Midwest and we deeply believe God is readying His Church for a historic movement that brings glory to HIS name alone. The Student Pastor will help fulfill MPs vision by providing vision, creation, and implementation to the Student Ministry as a part of the Next Gen team.

Reports to: Student Pastor (NextGen Pastor)

Teams: Student Teams & NextGen Team

Qualifications:

A mature relationship with Jesus Christ that is clear and evident

Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written, and strategy building skills

A strong team player and collaborator

Projects a professional and confident image and is able to handle a stressful pace

Ability to handle confidential information

Passion to see the next generation know, experience, and serve Jesus

Must be a creative contributor to the team and not just a doer of projectsRequired Skills:

A strong mastery of Macbook products or an ability to learn.

A strong understanding of Google Workspace

A mastery or ability to build and implement a service and/or program

A mastery or ability to learn audio, lights, and ProPresentor

A mastery or ability to learn PCO and all its components

A mastery or ability to learn how to design and edit projects in Canva

An ability to work with social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Youtube

An ability to film and edit videos

Ability to work with Divvy financial system and other financial systems that the church implements

Ability to work within LeadrPerformance Responsibilities:

Work with the NextGen team to create and implement vision in the Student ministry (Middle School and High School) and support the overall Madison Park NextGen picture

Leadership Development

Recruit Leaders

Create clear job descriptions

Maintain onboarding system

Offer clear and continual training

Success looks like having 2 small group leaders per group each week

Meet regularly with leaders for spiritual formation and care

Offer ongoing, topical and practical training for all leaders as appropriate for age and stage of each group

Work with NextGen team to help lead all in team trainings with unified vision

Maintain staff rhythms of meetings, all hands on deck events, ongoing trainingProgramming

Develop and execute Middle School and High School program rhythms in conjunction with the NextGen department and vision

Train and utilize leaders to create and execute week to week programs

Teach and develop teachers for main group teaching times

Build opportunities for students to serve and lead in the student program and across the church

Make connections within local schools and in other spaces families are to both build bridges and learn from families

Develop and implement an outreach strategy for Student programs

Build relationships with leaders, students, and parents/guardians

Partner with NextGen Coordinator to maintain regular ministry rhythms around communicationEvents

Create and host events based on ministry strategy

Create and/or attend camps based on ministry strategy

Create and oversee service events based on ministry strategy

Work with the NextGen Coordinator to oversee signups and financials attached to events

Maintain communication with parents/guardians about eventsSocial Media Management

Be a brand manager for the student teams within the NextGen overall brand as defined by the Madison Park Communications Team

Work with the NextGen team to develop a social media strategy

Ability to create posts and utilize tools to schedule posting schedules

Utilize social media to create culture and provide informationAbout Madison Park Church: Madison Park Church is a passionate and growing church with a long history (over 100 years!) of taking bold steps to reach those far from God in the Central Indiana region. Under the clear and compelling vision of the new Lead Pastor, Heather Semple, there is a fresh wind of faith and a fire for the future of the church. Located just outside of the Indianapolis metro area, MP is strategically located on 200 acres along a primary stretch of interstate.

There is endless possibility as the Indianapolis metro area continues to develop toward the church. Each of the counties that MP serves is unique and provides a large spectrum of opportunity for impact. In Anderson, the church continues to meet needs of a community still recovering from the loss of the automotive industry. While in Pendleton, large numbers of new housing developments are being built. In Hamilton County, both housing and industry are moving north toward the churchs central location. The town of Fishers, just 20 minutes from MP, was voted by Forbes magazine as the number one place to live in America.
