The South Charlotte Garage Kings franchise is seeking a general manager to oversee installers and sales professionals who want to strive for excellence. With comprehensive training in sales, products, installation, service and business development, we give our team the support they need to be successful.

Job Description

The General Manager must have excellent communication skills and will be responsible for overseeing the day to day business operations. The General Manager must have a full and complete knowledge of our products and services. Basic duties will include the items listed below.

Provide leadership for all employees, including all performance related duties

Conduct sales, installer and safety meetings on a regular basis

Provide sales coaching

Calculate and process payroll

Manage all employees by verbal and written communication

Conduct installer training on installation techniques and installation procedures

Review daily reports from installers and sales representatives

Manage end to end customer experience to ensure complete satisfaction

Shop: Maintain shop inventory and supplies. Oversee shop cleaning and shop equipment maintenance. Assist with scheduling all install and/or repair (call back) dates for new or existing orders. Determine appropriate installer for job.

Office: Use inventory management to determine the materials and quantity to be ordered. Place material orders. Keep accurate files and complete data entry. Provide reports to the corporate office.

Customer Service: Maintain customer relations and service. Receive inbound and make outbound phone calls with customers and vendors. Handle all customer service issues as required and speak directly with customers to address any issues they may have with their contract or installation. Discuss directly with customers to resolve issues.

In the Field: Perform onsite job inspections or onsite customer service issues. Meet with customers as required. Negotiate with customers as required to resolve issues. Perform installations or repair as required.

Sales: Responsible for handling incoming calls, setting appointments, and assisting sales representatives in closing contracts. Provide the sales representatives with installation and template dates upon first call from the representative when they are signing the contract. Determine number of days to install. When the contract is turned in, review for accuracy and errors in a timely manner. Keep constant and concise communication with the sales representatives.

Vendors: Order all materials, equipment, tools, consumables, office supplies, etc., from manufacturers and vendors as needed. Negotiate with vendors for materials and supplies. Schedule delivery of material. Pick up material as required.

Advertising and Marketing: Complete event paperwork and submit it in a timely manner to upcoming advertising and marketing events. Maintain and build displays. Be involved in advertising, including: magazines, social media, radio, TV, etc.
