General Description of Position: Repairs vehicles, equipment, and machinery located at our projects around the Austin area.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

Must be prepared to travel if required

Crawls under or climbs in or on vehicles or equipment for maintenance and repair inspections

Repairs, removes, replaces moving parts and other components of vehicles, equipment or machinery

Disassembles, repairs, removes, and replaces parts of engines, transmissions, drive assemblies, brakes, clutches of vehicles, equipment or machinery

Tunes, adjusts, regulates equipment engines, valves, pumps, carburetors and other mechanical components with variable setting

Lubricates and services vehicles, equipment or machinery and maintains accurate record of such service

Requests repair parts and lubrication supplies as needed

Helps workers of other crafts when not engaged in lubrication, service, maintenance and repair work

When not performing the above essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as designated by the supervisor

Specific Equipment and Materials to be used: Operate hand tools to repair equipment or machinery

Experience and Training: Certificate from college or technical school; or twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment: The work environment/physical demands characteristics described here are representative of those the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
