Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Supply Planner role within our Sales and Operations Planning Organization is responsible for optimizing the balance of inventory across the supply chain network in line with target customer service levels and divisional goals, for the assigned portfolio of SKUs for which they are responsible.

Key Accountabilities

Develop, implement and maintain inventory and material management strategies for finished goods materials

Analyze demand inputs such as historical sales data, customer forecasts and other demand drivers to determine optimal inventory levels to meet division goals and to ensure customer supply

Participate in calls with customers and sales as needed to understand forecast drivers and discuss any call outs on forecast or planned supply strategies

Lead discussions internally with sales, plant personnel, etc. to establish new run strategy

Report discrepancies in customer forecasting; recommend solutions for improving accuracy

Communicate product shortages and provide options and/or timelines for replenishing materials to customer service and other leadership personnel

Work closely with Capacity Planning and S&OP manager to align SKU-level strategies with production facility budgets and working capital goals

Place orders to manufacturing facilities based upon agreed lead time, capacity availability and run-cycle guidelines

Work directly, serving as primary contact, with production schedulers to prioritize production orders and optimize schedule to achieve maximum production efficiency and ensure customer supply

Manage all system FG inventory in respective product portfolio, including all off-site and on-site warehouses

Identify and manage potential inventory obsolescence to minimize write-offs

Manage all product transitions including SKU promotions, brand updates and die conversions

Review forecast, order patterns and run strategy for compliance against business and contractual parameters

Responsible for managing material master data through MMR process

Proactively communicate product availability and production plans to customer service team, customer, sales and other internal stakeholders

Utilize and maintain the Daily Planning Worksheet as the primary order fulfilment, inventory management and reporting tool.

Develop and present KPI reports to Customer Service, Sales and other leadership personnel.

Dotted-line responsibility for respective Customer Service team.

All Other Duties as Assigned

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree level education in General Business, Supply Chain or related field (preferred) -or- compensatory work experience in Customer Service, Production Control, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain function that includes demand, supply and inventory planning

Knowledge of ERP system, excel, order management processes and business reporting systems

Demonstrated successful order management/account management

Experience in Paperboard Packaging a plus

Pay Range: $66,500.00 - $88,700.00
