Our Fortune 500 Media Client is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a long term contract opportunity. The Senior DevOps Engineer will help automate existing manual tasks and deployments as well as assisting the software project teams for application deployment on a Kubernetes cluster. The engineer will design, develop, and manage automation solutions for critical DevOps tasks across enterprise. The candidate will build scripts and configuration management tools to automate deployments, and reporting and infrastructure work. This position is focused heavily on specific application deployments to a data center and Kubernetes. The role will include working with other DevOps engineers in areas other than data center and Kubernetes to be able to automate and document deployments successfully. The DevOps Engineer must have a solid understanding of data center deployments, and some background in deploying and engineering applications on Kubernetes. Linux knowledge is required, Ansible, and Terraform are all beneficial.

Required Skills:

. 9-10+ years of DevOps experience

. Must have expert-level experience working with Kubernetes

. Experience with Terraform Scripts and building out Infrastructure As Code (IaC)

. Must have strong AWS experience (AWS EKS is a big plus)

. Experience working with Helm Charts

. Experience with Java, Python and or Go/Golang is strongly preferred

. Coming up the ranks as a back-end developer (Java, Python or Go), then moved into DevOps is a big plus

. Experience working with Rancher is preferred (version 2.0 or higher is preferred)

. Github experience

. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
