Primary Responsibilities
• Gain an in-depth understanding of process variables and their impact on defectivity and throughput
• Collaborate with fellow engineers and scientists to assess novel materials, hardware, and software features
• Acquire and analyze metrology and inspection data
• Operate 300mm wafer defect inspection tools and various metrology instruments
• Translate new insights and inquiries into comprehensive plans and experiments
• Develop procedures, reports, and presentations
• Conduct testing and validation of process enhancements at customer sites
• Contribute to the creation of intellectual property
• Limited travel, less than 20% of the time
Qualifications
Education:
• PhD in an engineering or science discipline such as Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum requirement: MS Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
• 2-6 years of experience in semiconductor device fabrication or MEMS fabrication
• Consideration for new and recent graduates with relevant experience
Desired Skills and Attributes
• Familiarity with semiconductor tool process startup
• Proficient in root cause analysis
• Experience with statistical process control
• Competence in Matlab, tool command language, Python, VBA
• A natural problem solver with a proactive and inquisitive mindset
