Our Client, a specialty contractor in barriers and markings is seeking to add a Safety & Risk Manager to their team. This role will work ONSITE in Pewaukee, WI and will work standard and flexible hours M-F, 8am-5pm. Travel for this role is required within the Midwest at 10%. This is a full-time role that pays in the $80K-$95K range with a quarterly discretionary bonus program. This role also offers strong benefit package – Health, Dental and Vision covered at 80% - and a 401K plan that sees a 20% reinvestment in the employee.

The goal of this role is to assist front line personnel assuring each can carry on with their workday tasks safely. To do so, the Safety & Risk Manager will conduct site inspections, assess different work conditions, adhere to the health and safety protocols imposed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and identify possible work-related safety issues and risks on projects, with the purpose of designing appropriate solutions to prevent issues from arising. This individual ensures that the whole workforce is in a safe environment by continuously implementing, evaluating, and monitoring health and safety protocols. The incumbent will:

Provide visionary leadership, develop ongoing safety standards, and expand training initiatives to promote a secure work environment.

Deliver expertise regarding environmental safety, crisis response, accident investigation, and subcontractor management.

Demonstrate a strong understanding of risk management and regulatory compliance across multi-state and federal jurisdictions.

Perform and oversee the investigation of accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions

Track Accidents and Analyze Trends

Deliver accident reporting/OSHA Reporting logs

Interface with workers’ compensation claims + insurance companies

Understand and analyze EMR Ratings

Plan, lead, and participate in job safety meetings.

Review and update all site-specific safety plans with project teams.

Train employees in various safety procedures according to safety management plan.

Conduct periodic safety inspections on all job sites to ensure safety procedures are in place.

Record and compile data, update logs, monitor equipment, and schedule maintenance.

Update and maintain the company’s contingency and recovery plan.

Communicate with injured workers and plan return to work strategies.

Qualifications

3+ years experience in occupational safety and health.

Knowledge of OSHA, local safety laws, and other regulatory agencies.

Proficient in MS Office Suite.

CPR/First Aid Certified.

CDL highly preferred – will gain on company’s expense upon hire.

Certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OHST are highly preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in OSH preferred.

Construction industry experience highly preferred.
