Completes detailed estimates and prepares proposals in advance of bid due dates

Participate in pre/post job reviews.

Read blueprints and technical documents to prepare estimates

Collaborate with owners,,, clients, contractors, and sales to prepare estimates and bids.

Calculate, analyze, and adjust estimates as needed for factors affecting costs, such as production time, materials, and labor

Work with sales teams to prepare estimates and bids for clients

Maintain records of estimated and actual costs

Prepare complete cost estimates for project bids and jobs

Perform field take offs/evaluations for estimate preparation

Solicitation of vendor and subcontractor bids for projects.

Work with owners and designers to develop project scope and pricing

Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimates

Maintain up to date accurate job costs for future projects.

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to develop the most cost-effective scopes

Works diligently and succeeds in contributing to develop and maintain a high level of communication, coordination, and cooperation throughout the Company.

Ensures that all activities are conducted in a prudent and ethical manner.

Manages enough jobs through the preconstruction process to meet the Company goals.

Requirements

Education and/or Work Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, Business Management, or equivalent work experience. (preferred)

Minimum of 3+ years working in an estimating or project management role. (preferred)

High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).

Willingness to learn all aspects of the industry.

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s estimating software.

A positive attitude, and willingness to learn and grow with the company.
