Job Title: Piping Design Engineer

Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Piping Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of work experience in piping design and be responsible for creating detailed piping layouts and designs for various industrial projects. The Piping Design Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of projects from conception to completion.

Requirements

1. **Piping Layout Design:** Develop detailed piping layouts and designs in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate 2D and 3D models of piping systems.

2. **Material Selection:** Assist in the selection of appropriate piping materials based on project requirements, including considerations for temperature, pressure, fluid compatibility, and environmental factors.

3. **Pipe Routing and Optimization:** Optimize pipe routing to minimize interference with other equipment and structures while ensuring efficient flow and distribution of fluids. Identify and resolve clashes and conflicts in piping layouts.

4. **Technical Documentation:** Prepare comprehensive technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications for piping systems, including isometric drawings, piping plans, and bill of materials (BOM). Ensure documentation is accurate, detailed, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

5. **Collaboration:** Work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to coordinate piping design activities and ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines. Participate in design reviews and provide technical input as needed.

6. **Quality Assurance:** Conduct thorough reviews and checks of piping designs to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Address any discrepancies or deviations promptly and effectively.

7. **Site Support:** Provide support during the construction phase of projects by responding to technical queries, reviewing installation drawings, and conducting site inspections to ensure piping installations meet design specifications.

8. **Continuous Improvement:** Stay informed about advancements in piping design technologies, codes, and standards. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices and standardisation efforts within the organization.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in piping design or related field.

- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) for piping design.

- Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, etc.).

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
