Solstice Consulting Group is seeking a Materials Manager for our oil & gas manufacturing client located in Midland, Texas(link removed) This role is an in-office position located with up to 25% domestic travel as necessary.

Bachelors Degree preferred and 7+ years supply chain / materials management experience in a manufacturing environment required

2+ years experience in a supervisory or managerial role

Oil & Gas industry experience preferred

Base salary of $90k - $105k DOE plus bonus opportunity and excellent benefits

Role Overview:

The Materials Manager will direct and control the movement of materials in, through and out of the facility. Manage key materials related functions such as material planning, production scheduling, and inventory control.

Responsibilities:

Establishes and maintains communications to satisfy the needs of the plant while facilitating a consistent and coordinated interface with customers and suppliers (via the sourcing team) on quality, delivery, cost, safety and other performance objectives.

Leads the Production scheduling team, Logistics functions, Materials Analyst, & Cycle counters to support the plant strategy and project initiatives.

Accountable to implement and maintain the materials playbook, materials management assessments, and ERP rules management

Responsible for the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning process

Supports monthly capacity planning and make/ buy decisions

Works closely with the Buying team to bridge plant initiatives and strategy. Supports cost out opportunities and supplier replenishment, claims, spot buys, outside vendor operations, etc.

Supports intercompany trade processes, metrics, and initiatives

Provides functional leadership in cross-functional teams working towards continuous process improvement, elimination of waste and simultaneous engineering.

Deploys lean techniques, standard work, and other cost reduction activities throughout the materials organization.

Supports compliance to corporate initiatives and corporate commodity strategies to achieve synergy across the operation.

As a member of the leadership team, sets overall plant policies and procedures to ensure safe, effective operations consistent with Company Values.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree preferred and 7+ years of professional experience

Minimum 7+ years experience in supply chain or materials management in a manufacturing environment

Minimum 2 years managerial experience

Excellent ERP / MS Office Skills
