Job Details

We are a leading player in the Medical Industry, is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's financial health and stability.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes

Manage and supervise accounting department employees; responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership

Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation

Lead the development and implementation of financial data management systems

Regularly review the company's financial performance and report on variances

Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements

Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting

Research technical accounting issues for compliance

Ensure compliance with GAAP principles

Inspect and reconcile account balances

Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner

Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors

Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices

Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy

Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or certification such as a CPA is preferred.

Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to direct and supervise.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and with accounting software.

Proven ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.

Strong understanding of GAAP, balance sheet reconciliation, cash flow analysis, and general ledger management.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a team management approach.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

High level of integrity, confidentiality, and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
