Job Description

Ensuring human comfort, productivity, and safety while practicing environmental stewardship is the mission of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). Our 300+ member companies produce more than 90 percent of the residential and commercial air conditioning, heating, water heating, and commercial refrigeration equipment made in North America. Through our certification program, standards, advocacy, and other activities, we strive to help save energy, improve productivity, and ensure a better environment.

AHRI is seeking an experienced and creative Graphic Designer to join our Public Affairs team. The candidate will have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to take initiative and work independently. Typical tasks will include designing and producing high-quality pieces for corporate advertisements, signage, documents, presentations, social and website graphics, and design templates. Duties include but are not limited to:

Creating compelling, impactful digital and print materials

Working with other AHRI entities to create impactful, attractive graphic solutions

Developing design concepts in keeping with AHRI brand guidelines

Maintaining AHRI’s design library, including archives of photos, logos, and projects

Sourcing and editing photos and videos

Coordinating with outside agencies and vendors as necessary

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in graphic design

5+ years of experience as a professional graphic designer

Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint, and Word

Deep and practical understanding of typography, layout, and color theory

Pluses:

Photography and videography skills

508 compliance expertise

Design portfolio is required with application.

AHRI offers a full benefits package with alternate workplace options and a friendly work environment. The salary hiring range for this position is $70,000-$85,000.
