Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a proficient Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The workplace is located in Modesto, California. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and involves working on-site with a work schedule of Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately match, batch, and code invoices

• Resolve accounts payable discrepancies

• Process expense reports in a timely manner

• Update and reconcile the sub-ledger to the general ledger

• Process checks on a regular basis

• Sort, log, photocopy and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Verify, log, and mail checks, including expediting special handling

• Utilize accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to maintain records

• Perform data entry tasks and manage accounting functions

• Ensure the accurate coding of invoices and timely processing of checks.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounts payable or relevant field in the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Demonstrable skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Thorough understanding and hands-on experience with Accounting Functions.

• Practical knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) operations.

• Experience in Check Processing.

• Proficient in Data Entry.

• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies in financial reports.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook for communication and scheduling.

• Experience in Coding Invoices is required.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
