Job Description
The Account Executive is a key position for Shaffer Entertainment who drives new business development and renewals of existing clients. The Account Executive will seek out and create new relationships with potential customers while further developing relationships with current customers. You will spend the majority of your time ‘on the streets’ meeting and interfacing with customers while utilizing leads to make new connections. The Account Executive is responsible for the growth and retention of revenue for Shaffer Columbus, our flag-ship market.
Actively canvass assigned territory for new business opportunities
Follow up on leads via phone, email and in-person selling techniques
Negotiate and close new business opportunities using Shaffer approved vending agreements
Regularly visit customer locations, both proactively and reactively
Spend approx. 60% of time seeking out customer renewals and enhancing relationships; 40% seeking new business
Real-time recording of sales calls and notes into CRM tool via phone or tablet
Meet quarterly and annual minimum expectations set forth by Shaffer
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
3-5 years Account Management or Route Sales experience
Experience with and comfortable cold-calling
Comfortable with technology – able to log sales calls via phone/tablet
Accountable; commits to providing a consistently high level of service to customers, colleagues, and management
Team player; works collaboratively with others
Able to build and structure customer presentations and present contracts/agreements
Self-motivated and goal oriented
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
