The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is currently seeking Beach Hut Attendants to join our team at our beautiful oceanfront property!

What we ask:

Consistently provide professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly service

Schedule: Seasonal. Hours Vary between 10:00am-6pm

Must be available holidays and weekends

Pay: $16.85/hour

SUMMARY

Provides service to guests on the beach and pool area. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.'s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up beach hut daily

Take and deliver food orders.

Prepare food in kitchen; deliver food, clean and close Beach Hut prep and sales areas.

Ring or record sales on beach or in Beach Hut and balance out at the end of shift.

Responsible for daily requisitioning of needed supplies.

Other duties may be assigned.

OUTCOME

The Beach Hut Attendant is responsible for the overall guest satisfaction in their work area. They are responsible for servicing guests in their section and also for keeping their work area clean. They are also responsible for the daily clearing of dishes in their work area.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers, managers, or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must obtain and maintain a current food handler's card and RBS Certificate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Employees are required to perform all tasks as safely as possible and to adhere to the applicable safety procedures.

SCHEDULING

This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will generally be rotated, as much as possible to be fair to everyone. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the number of hours that you work.
