Database Administrator - MySQL

Installation and configuration of MySQL on Linux/Windows and PAAS Environments.

- Installing and Managing MySQL Clusters on MySQL flexible servers.

- Experience in patching, upgradations, and migrations.

- Upgrading from MySQL 5.X to latest versions - Good knowledge in UNIX and shell scripting.

- Able to handle all MySQL DBA related daily maintenance tasks.

- Troubleshooting and resolving database issues.

- Monitor the systems health and performance.

- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security of databases.

- Implement and maintain database security (user management, role management) - Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.

- Database Backup & recovery strategies - Understanding of MySQLs underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM.

- Good hands-on MySQL with Replication exposure and HADR experience.

- Experience in Database/SQL Performance Tuning activities including configuring innodb_log_buffer_size, sort_buffer_size, join_buffer_size, read_buffer_size, query_cache_type, query_cache_size, log_queries_not_using_indexes and slow_query_log.

- Provide suggestions for solutions.

- Lead the set-up, testing, and deployment of new databases, migrations, and upgrades.

- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.

- Continuously evaluate emerging MySQL Server technologies and recommend best practices for database management.

- Installation and configuration in Postgres and MongoDB - Good knowledge in Postgres and MongoDB.
