Minimum Requirements:

Five years' of experience in a scheduling role within appropriate commodity industries (crude, fuel oil, refined products preferred)

Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, economics or equivalent preferred

Experience with trade capture, scheduling, finance, and risk management systems

Specialized knowledge and skills in a variety of scheduling processes and activities

Strong understanding of commodity trade positioning

Superior analytical, quantitative skills and accounting acumen

In-depth understanding of waterborne and pipeline operational requirements

Responsibilities:

Responsible for negotiating short term leases and arranging all transportation requirements for the execution of trading activity

Develop comprehensive delivery schedule and communicate to key stakeholders on a daily basis

Assist in reviewing and improving processes for the department to optimize the company portfolio

Coordinate generation and load costing, scheduling, and dispatch functions following all ISO procedures

Works autonomously within established procedures while adding value with continuous improvement

Utilizing experience level to promote cross training and develop colleagues through knowledge sharing

Apply critical thinking for new and innovative solutions to complex operational problem solving

Ability to handle unexpected operational issues and provide guidance during off-peak hours

Location and other Key Details:

You will work out of our Houston office, located at 2 Allen Centre, 1200 Smith St.

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
