Sports Information Graduate Assistant

The Life University Athletic Department, located in Marietta, Georgia, is seeking applicants for a Sports Information graduate assistant. Life University is a member of the Southern States Athletic Conference, and the NAIA, and sponsors twenty-one sports with over 500 student-athletes participating in athletics.

Compensation: Full Graduate Tuition Waiver

Responsibilities

Write press releases and help coordinate social media marketing efforts for the teams and department.

Produce weekly game notes and maintain historical data.

Nominate student-athletes, coaches and staff members for performance and academic conference and national awards.

Assist with social media campaigns and track retention and engagement for various events.

Assist in assigning student-workers with in-game responsibilities.

Work closely with the department's external team including marketing, ticketing and development units.

Help maintain the department's website and record books.

Produce gameday programs for assigned team home events. Travel may be required with assigned teams.

Adhere to university, conference and NAIA rules and regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Admission to a graduate program is a prerequisite of the position.

Bachelor's degree required.

Must have integrity and leadership skills, strong organizational and communication skills, be attentive to details, have the ability to lead and work independently as well as within a team environment, maintain confidentiality, show initiative, handle frequent interruptions and manage multiple projects while keeping an organized workflow.

Must be able to work effectively in a diverse work environment, collaborate with colleagues and mentor and lead student athletes.
