This role will support multiple attorneys and encompass a wide range of responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management skills, be proficient with technology, and exhibit strong verbal and written communication abilities. The position offers a hybrid remote schedule.
Technical requirements include:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, including bates labeling, PDF document manipulation, and optimization
Advanced knowledge of e-filing systems in both state and federal courts
Experience with file-sharing tools for document collaboration
Understanding of the litigation process and its implications for legal assistant duties
Ability to utilize technology for timekeeping, billing, and administrative tasks
Experience with electronic document management systems
Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies as necessary
Administrative duties include:
Conducting conflicts checks and managing client files
Assisting attorneys with scheduling, calendaring, and travel arrangements
Communication with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties as directed
Management of electronic case files and litigation deadlines
Support for attorney time entries and office expenses
Processing vendor invoices and assisting with general office tasks
