POSITION: Secretary-Schedule II LOCATION: Fairgrounds Middle School WORK YEAR: Schedule II Full time during SY/Part time summer SALARY RANGE: $19.77, Benefits per Union Contract STARTING: 06/03/2024 QUALIFICATIONS: High school education-Business Education curriculum (typing and business practices or equivalent experience) Seeking a highly motivated self-starter who possesses excellent practices or equivalent experience). Must be a people person who would enjoy the challenge of working in a busy school office environment.

Should have strong organizational skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software.

A minimum of 3 years clerical experience including general office duties.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Serves as the Principal's secretary and as such, assumes responsibility for; maintains office files and records, serves as a receptionist, routes mail, answers telephone and provides general information in response to inquiries from the School Community and beyond; operates word processor, other office machines, types correspondence, memos, teacher observations, and staff evaluations, accounting and statistical tables, purchase order and miscellaneous material; enters daily student attendance data by computer; maintains inventory records of school supplies and equipment, register and discharge students and maintain all related records, maintain student activity accounts; performs such other job related duties as may be assigned by the school principal.
