Welder/Boilermaker

Boilermaker/Welder required for Lionel Moore Trailers in Pittsworth, Queensland, 40kms southwest of Toowoomba. Full-time position on wages. Applicants will need to be able to read intricate manufacturing design drawings and have a good attention to details. Be a team player. Looking for a long term career. People who have worked in Semi-Trailer Manufacturing Industry would be highly regarded. AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.

Tasks include:

• studying designs, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements

• cleaning and preparing metal stock

• cutting marked-out metal sections using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines

• shaping and benind metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering

• aligning parts to be joined

• bolting and riveting, joining and welding metal sections

Salary starting at $70,000 + Super
