Our client, Trading since 1966, Sell & Parker Metal Recycling Services is an Australian owned and operated private company. They have ample experience in dealing with all issues surrounding scrap collection and recycling.

They are the dominant buyer of demolition scrap in Sydney and also service a large number of manufacturers throughout Sydney. Sell & Parker is one of only three accredited suppliers to Bluescope Steel.

Duties and Task

Fabricates and repairs metal products using various welding techniques.

MIG and stick

selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock

cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines

shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering

aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments

joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting

examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision

finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions

cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding

Requirements

At least 3 years working experience in the same capacity

Certificate III

Committal to continuing to learn

Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 per year plus superannuation

Overtime and Penalty rates apply
