Salary range is $70,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation.

Smartech Door Systems, a privately-owned manufacturing company located in Truganina, is seeking an experienced Welder for a full-time position.

Established in 2008, we specialise in making motorised aluminium window, door and wall systems. Our company focuses on specialised applications and climate-smart solutions, including double glazing. We are dedicated to enhancing customer’s lives through the practical, well thought out designs of our vertical and horizontal bifold doors.

Your tasks will include:

· Read and check manufacturing drawings and works instruction for accuracy before proceeding with work

· Fabricate, weld and inspect products safely and efficiently to meet customer requirements

· Sand and fit out of aluminium doors and windows

· Complete and sign off required documentation for quality control purpose

· Ensure compliance of company procedures, such as in-house procedures, Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality and Legal Compliance for all areas under your direct control

· Monitor stock of materials to ensure they are readily available to meet production volumes and to fulfil on-time delivery to the customers

· Maintain equipment and tools for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items and ensuring safety

To be considered for the position you must be reliable and willing to work in a team environment and enjoy dealing with people. You will have the ability to work under pressure with due diligent processes, together with an eye for detail. Experience in the manufacturing of windows and garage doors will be highly advantageous but is not essential. It is essential to have a truck License (HR) for deliveries and a forklift license.

The right person will have the following skills:

Certificate III in a relevant field, plus 2 years of full-time post qualification experience; or at least three years of experience as a Pressure Welder.
