Wilguru Group is seeking a skilled Industrial Vehicle Painter to join their team in their Townsville workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting a variety of industrial vehicles and equipment, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow client specifications, including the number of coats and thickness of coats.

Remove rough spots on vehicle panels and sand surfaces by hand and with power sanders.

Mask areas not to be painted with tape and paper.

Colour match and mix paints to match paint shades, and select pre-mixed paint.

Apply primer and finishing coats using spray-guns, and sand surfaces between coats.

Touch up paintwork and apply polish to vehicles.

Remove masking papers, and wax and polish finished paintwork.

Treat vehicles with rust-proofing chemicals.

Maintain a clean and organised work area, and adhere to safety procedures and quality standards.

To be a successful applicant, you will need to possess the following:

Proven experience as an Industrial Vehicle Painter or similar role.

Strong knowledge of paint application techniques, colour matching, and surface preparation.

Proficiency in using spray-guns, power sanders, and other painting equipment.

Ability to read and interpret client specifications and technical drawings.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

A strong commitment to safety.

A White Card or equivalent is required, or you must be willing to obtain one.

You may be required to undergo a Medical and Drug & Alcohol test.
