Environment, Health and Safety Manager - Packaging

We are currently partnered with a leading player within the rigid plastic packaging segment.

The company is seeking to hire an EHS Manager.

The position is to be based on-site in Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities include:

Provide a safe work environment and act as a safety role model.

Lead emergency response efforts and manage regulatory changes.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Address non-conformances and report safety issues promptly.

Wear appropriate PPE and be prepared for travel as required.

Lead safety committees and collaborate with stakeholders to improve safety practices.

Develop and deliver safety training programs and monitor performance metrics.

Utilize data to prioritize safety initiatives and support incident investigations.

Manage Workers' Compensation cases and oversee the Learning Management System.

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and manage hazardous waste programs.

Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.

What Will Make You Best Suited for the Role?

5-10 years of health & safety experience in a manufacturing setting.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Certification in safety training and environmental management is preferred.

Proficiency in Workers' Compensation management and familiarity with ISO standards.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
