Position: Thermoplastic Injection Molding Technician

Type: Direct Hire

What You'll Do:

As a vital member of our team, you'll oversee the operation and maintenance of thermoplastic injection molding machines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. Responsibilities include real-time monitoring of machine operations, assessing production levels, and meticulous documentation to uphold quality standards.

Shift Schedule:

2nd Shift- Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:15pm - $28.25/hour pay rate

3rd Shift - Monday-Friday 11:00pm-7:15am - $28.75/hour pay rate

Key Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance and repair on industrial manufacturing equipment, with specialized focus on injection molding machinery.

Demonstrate proficiency in electrical, PLC, and maintenance automation systems.

Utilize hydraulic and pneumatic expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Maintain and repair plant support equipment including compressors, chillers, and electrical systems.

Troubleshoot and repair secondary operation equipment such as conveyors, labelers, and packaging systems, adeptly replacing defective components to ensure seamless operation.

Accurately document trouble calls and work orders, adhering to established procedures.

Flexibility to work overtime (including weekends) based on production demands.

Interpret and apply technical information from manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform tasks effectively.

Demonstrate proficiency in English to carry out essential duties, including reading and writing.

Experience with mold set-up and pull is a plus.

Required Experience

3-5 years' experience with setups, color changes, processing mold and making sure running correctly.

Able to read and write English to comprehend complex instructions, blueprint readings, routine reports, and perform essential duties of the job.

Experience with thermoplastic injection machinery, and tools associated with thermoplastic injection molding machines and mold set ups

Ability to work overtime as required/requested.

Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift operator license

Also great to have:

Experience with Nissei and/or Toshiba Molding Machines a plus!

Knowledge of CMMS is preferred but not required.

Experience working with a variety of thermoplastic materials and the related proper material handling techniques.
