Job Description

GLHS is looking to onboard nursing students to fill future RN openings.Duties and Key ResponsibilitiesNursing Assistant:

Nursing Assistant with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Must also possess solid clinical skills and be capable of performing a variety of basic patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patient.

Candidate must also collaborate and interact positively with the interdisciplinary team in order to provide quality patient care and achieve a high level of patient satisfaction.

Must also be willing to float to other work areas as needed; to include 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th floors as well as to the Emergency Department.

Candidate must also be able to be on feet for long periods of time and possess ability to meet physical effort conditions within job description.

Full Time or Part Time employees must be willing to work every third weekend and half of the major holidays.

STNA preferred. LPN or RN:

Responsible for delivery of patient care through the Nursing Process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of Nursing Ancillary Personnel.

Assumes a lead role in patient teaching. Places the patient at the center of care practices.

Collaborates and interacts positively with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.

May be required to work other patient care units or shifts according to distribution of staff, patients, and/or patient acuity. Requirements

Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.

Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.Education/Certifications

High school graduate or equivalent for Nursing Assistants.

RN or LPN must be licensed to practice in the State of Ohio.Experience

Health care experience preferred, but not required.
