Description:

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Machinist for projects located in Kansas City, MO. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $26-35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

Set up and operate a variety of manual and CNC machines to include mills, lathes and other machines as required

Determine manual process or programming information needed to achieve desired outcome

Align and secure holding fixtures cutting tools attachments, accessories and materials onto machines

Monitor and adjust feeds and speeds of machines during the machining process

Measure, examine and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments

Use computer to enter job information and maintain work records

Requirements:

Able to apply knowledge of mechanics machining tools and equipment

Strong math skills to include arithmetic, algebra, geometry and trigonometry and their applications

Use measuring tools including tape measure calipers micrometers calculator protractor 6 square and level

Able to read blueprints and technical drawings

Familiar with programming requirements for all equipment

Illustrate thorough knowledge of metal alloys brass aluminum stainless steel and steel

Must have tools for the trade

Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills

Demonstrate strong teamwork qualities i.e. taking initiative to find other areas of the shop to assist when work is complete

Familiar with the practical application of engineering science and technology applying principles techniques procedures and equipment

Able to adapt to changing circumstances

Use time effectively by prioritizing work and anticipating obstacles to completing assigned tasks
