Staff Accountant

Overview:

Thermo King of Houston is Now Hiring a Staff Accountant at 3323 Jane Lane, Dallas TX 75247.Responsible for areas relating to accounting functions and financial reporting for Thermo King and its subsidiaries.

Responsibilities:

Month end close processes including journal entry preparation and posting, month end accruals and account analysis.

Financial statement and individual account analysis.

Prepare monthly sales/use tax returns.

Monitor, analyze and reconcile sales/use tax accounts.

Respond to inquiries from the Executive Staff regarding financial results and special reporting requests.

Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal skills required.

Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Education/Experience:

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance is required.

CPA is preferred.

1-3 years of experience in accounting/financial reporting is preferred.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications is preferred.

Experience with automated accounting systems is preferred.
