Job Summary:

The IDCS Operations Training Coordinator role acts as a central hub of expertise for IDCS Integration Services. This position provides thorough initial training, targeted procedural guidance, and further training for staff development. A day in the life of an IDCS Operations Training Coordinator involves coordinating with managers to identify training requirements, delivering personalized instruction to Integration Center staff, and leading group sessions to ensure new hires are fully versed in all operational procedures.

Additionally, trainers are tasked with recording the outcomes of progression training to support employee promotions and departmental transfers. Due to their extensive knowledge, trainers collaborate closely with both Integration Center employees and IDCS leadership.

The position reports to the IDCS Sr. Director of Operations and is based at the SHI Ridge Integration Center in Piscataway, New Jersey.

Responsibilities:

Include but not limited to:

Facilitate instructional sessions for Integration Center personnel on pertinent processes and operations.

Keep detailed records of training sessions and conduct evaluations of staff performance.

Revise and update the existing ISO training materials for incorporation into SHI’s educational platform.

Create and implement a variety of educational courses and programs, utilizing diverse instructional methods such as videos, written materials, and hands-on activities.

Offer constructive feedback, support, and instructional advice to training participants. Communicate insights and assessments concerning the performance of newly hired employees to the supervisory team.

Coordinate and lead introductory events for potential hires, showcasing the Integration Center and explaining the roles on offer.

Organize further training sessions tailored to employee and managerial needs for career progression.

Provide additional support to the configuration team as needed to manage excess tasks.

Qualifications:

Possession of a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or graduation from a recognized trade school with a focus on computer training.

A minimum of 2 years of professional background in a Data Center setting, focusing on hardware installation and cable management.

At least 1 year of job experience in the creation of training content and documentation.

Preferred Skills

Minimum of 1 year of training experience preferred.

Certifications Required:

If at least one certification is not currently held the successful candidate will be required to obtain one of the certifications within 6 months of commencing the role:

Unique Requirements:

Overtime and weekend work are available, and may be required throughout the year

Position requires the ability to move or lift up to 50lbs

Additional Information:

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $55,000 - $85,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
