The Corporate IT Networks SAN-VM Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, operation, design and troubleshooting of the WAN/LAN. This includes routers, switches, fabric interconnects, firewalls and telephone communication equipment. This position will also be responsible for ensuring all network communications between the SAN, Virtual Networks and WAN/LAN are optimally configured.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Network Administration

· Monitor switches, routers and firewalls

· Design new network segments and systems

· The configuration of new networking equipment such as switch, router, fabric interconnect and firewall systems

· Design and configuration of Citrix NetScaler appliances

· The creation and maintenance of accurate network documentation

· Work with our WAN partners to ensure outages are addressed and configurations are optimized for our needs

· Patch management of all networking equipment, to ensure stability and security

· Work closely with System Administrators and Help desk teams, to ensure performance and communication problems are addressed in a timely manner

· Participate in network planning at all levels of the Bank

· Design, implement and test effective disaster recovery processes

· Work with technology and managed services partners on design improvements and monitoring of the network

· Design network systems to position the Bank for new and emerging technologies, while focusing on efficiency and agility

· Monitor, design and architect network systems to ensure security of all communications and systems

· Advise and assist management with strategic technology decisions

· Plan, configure and maintain the Bank’s IP/Digital and Analog phone systems, in coordination with System Administrators

· Maintain effective procedures for all work and mentor team members

SAN/VM Administration

· The network design and configuration of SAN systems, specifically Nimble

· The network design and configuration of virtual systems, specifically VMWare and Citrix

· Assist with the configuration of backup storage systems and configuration

· Supporting storage connectivity between VMWare and Nimble

· The design, configuration and maintenance of Cisco UCS blades and chassis

· Ensure maintenance and backup of critical data resources including the monitoring and management of storage availability and capacity using a complimentary set of products, standards and procedures.

General Duties

· Enforce procedures to support policies regarding use of personal computers and networks in accordance with regulatory requirements, as well as, bank standards.

· Monitor employee usage on the network, internet and any other information carrying device and provide management with activity reports.

· Analyze system or application usage and plan growth or increase in network capacity.

· Preserves system integrity for all computers within the organization.

· Understands and uses PC computers, including peripheral devices; understands and uses windows operating system; performs system software.

· Monitor Intrusion attempts externally and internally and provide management with activity Reports

· Responsible for the cabling and wiring of facilities for network access

· Maintain appropriate licensing on all network equipment

Department Administration

· Work with management to determine resource requirements, budget, and resources to keep the network in production status

· Assist the Department Head in preparing the IT budget by recommending purchases of hardware, software and system maintenance purchases needed to operate the network, servers and desktop computers.

· Assist with acquisitions and directs the installation of the new network hardware, desktops and software systems.

Supervisory Requirements

Personnel Management: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

· Personal vehicle (car or truck), at which mileage will be paid, to transport equipment/documents securely and safely to the outlying locations

Education and Experience

Essential:

· High school education and diploma

· Associates Degree in Computer Science OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Networking

· Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Computer Systems and Network Management

Desirable:

· Network Certifications such as Network+, CCNA or CCNP

· Security Certifications such as Sec+

· Citrix Certifications such as CCA-V

Licenses and Certifications

Essential:

· Valid Driver’s License
