Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist will support Operations for daily core HR needs including Employee Relations, Compliance, Non-Exempt Performance Management, Onboarding, etc.
Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:
Level One Employee Relations Support includes high level questions, policy interpretation, investigations, etc.
Support managers on documenting and communicating performance feedback
Conducting periodic audits of employee records, files, and workplace poster requirements to ensure federal and state compliance
Support Recruiting and Onboarding of Non-Exempt Team Members
Provide guidance to Unit Leaders on Quest Employee Handbook and applicable Employment Law
Support Unit Leaders on documenting and communicating feedback on performance and behavior
Human Resources Generalist Requirements:
Required Abilities:
Travel 10%
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Required Skills:
Spanish fluency
At least one year of related experience
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Strong Organizational Skills and Attention to Detail
Strong Interpersonal and Problem-Solving Skills
Proficient in MS Office Applications
Preferred:
2-5 years’ experience
Thorough knowledge of IL Employment Laws and Regulations
Prior experience in Contract Food Service Management Industry
SHRM-CP or PHR Certification
Proficient in ADP Workforce Now
