Summary/Objective:

The Purchase associate will be responsible for coordinating container planning and purchase planning activities to ensure timely procurement of goods and optimize inventory levels. This role involves liaising with suppliers, monitoring purchase orders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.

Job Summary:

Develop and maintain purchase plans based on sales forecasts, inventory targets, and shipment schedules.

Create purchase orders accurately and promptly, ensuring alignment with purchase plans and budgetary constraints.

Monitor inventory levels and consumption patterns to identify potential stock shortages or excess inventory.

Coordinate container planning activities to ensure efficient utilization of shipping containers for inbound and outbound shipments.

Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to facilitate smooth procurement processes.

Track and monitor purchase orders from placement to receipt, resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise.

Collaborate with planning teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.

Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, contracts, and supplier agreements.

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Collect and upload all the relevant export relate document s in the ERP system.

Maintain the accuracy of the data of the purchased data.

Qualifications:

3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, purchase planning, or supply chain management, preferably in the food export and distribution industry.

Knowledge of container planning processes and international logistics.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
