Urgent requirement R2R(Oil and Gas)- Solutioning and Transformation

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as the Subject Matter Expert and Transformation Lead for Oil & Gas - Upstream Record to Report (R2R) team.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial processes within the oil and gas industry, particularly in the upstream. This role involves working directly with senior stakeholders to understand their strategy, requirements & processes and developing solutions for global Oil & Gas majors for large & complex sales opportunities in R2R domain.

Job Profile

Subject Matter Expert:

· Hands on experience in oil and gas- Upstream finance, accounting & reporting

· Have hands on experience in preparation of annual financial and managing joint venture audits as they apply to joint interest billing

· Have experience in managing complete Joint Interest Billing process.

· Have experience in performing cost allocations of both internal & external costs and a good understanding of different methods used in the industry. Also, understanding of how it interacts with production & well status reporting.

· Very good understanding of the accounting standard application relevant for the industry. Having worked on US GAAP would be an added advantage.

· Support Global Shared Services Strategy for Multi Tower Oil & Gas Major in Multiple F&A Domains (primely R2R)

Solution Mindset:

· Formulating and leading presales functional support activity to prospective customers while ensuring customer satisfaction

· Develops and delivers outstanding Microsoft presentations and demonstrations

· Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business i.e. SAP-JVA, Quorum, Aspen, etc.

· Support Global Shared Services Strategy for Multi Tower Oil & Gas Major in Multiple F&A Domains (primely R2R)

· Facilitation of process understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline R2R workflows and enhance process efficiency.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and IT, to align R2R processes with business objectives

· Lead initiatives to transform and modernize the Upstream R2R function, leveraging technology and best practices.

· Identify opportunities for automation and digitalization to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts

· Understand all processes in a detailed manner, inter-dependencies, current technology landscape and organization structure

· Drive transformation roadmap to achieve tangible/intangible outcomes as agreed with clients

· Research on new cutting edge tech, recommend/propose to leadership buy-in from transformation prospective.

Transformation Leadership:

Required Profile/ Experience

· Solid understanding of oil and gas accounting - must have hands on experience in the Upstream industry finance, accounting & reporting

· Deeper understanding of other Finance towers and Sub-towers

· Should have relevant leadership experience in running large R2R transformation projects with tangible outcomes and High Business Impact.

· Should have knowledge of Oil & Gas Industry wide trends on F&A Tools, platforms and benchmarks. Having working experience with SAP- JVA & Quorum module is a must.

· Experience of developing creative and client-pleasing solutions to complex business problems

· Outstanding documentation and communication skills

· Should be proficient in leading meetings and presentations with customers using powerful product level material.

Education Requirement

· CA / B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance
