The Role

We are looking for a visionary and detail-oriented leader to spearhead our Quality Assurance department. As the Head of QA, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your expertise will guide the strategic implementation of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) across all product lines and LOBs, ensuring flawless releases that enhance our competitive edge

Responsibilities

Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test strategies and plans, that aligns with company objectives and own its execution

Lead the STLC process, including effort and cost estimation, to ensure efficient and effective testing outcomes

Manage QA resources across multiple projects, ensuring optimal allocation and adherence to deadlines without compromising quality

Define, own and execute QA processes that are efficient and aligns with organizational goals

Foster strong collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Design, Development, and Executive Leadership to ensure seamless product launches

Leverage cutting-edge technology and tools to enhance QA processes and maintain technological leadership in the market

Supervise multiple projects, prioritizing based on strategic importance, risk assessment, and team capabilities

Lead the hiring process, including defining job requirements, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions

Upskill QA team through training programs, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge

Conduct monthly performance reviews for QA team members, providing constructive feedback, setting goals, and recognizing achievements to foster professional growth and development

Drive the adoption of automation within the QA team to reduce repetitive tasks, enhance efficiency, and expand test coverage, ensuring a streamlined and effective testing process

Requirements

10-12 years of leadership experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance

Deep understanding and practical experience with SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies

Experience leading QA teams in Agile environments, including Scrum or Kanban methodologies

Ability to analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases with attention to detail

Expertise in creating test strategies, plans, and detailed cost estimations

Proven ability to manage risks effectively for high-quality product delivery

Proficiency in manual and automated testing, including web, mobile, database, and API testing

Experience with programming languages like Java and developing automation frameworks

Familiarity with MongoDB, complex database querying, AWS, and modern automation tools

Proficiency in data analysis and identifying root causes

Excellent leadership skills, inspiring and mentoring teams for excellence

Adaptable mindset, staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends

Understanding of DevOps practices, seamlessly integrating QA processes

Knowledge of security testing principles and regulatory requirements

Strong focus on delivering products exceeding customer expectations in usability, performance, reliability, and user experience
